Imagine an emerald green landmark that isn’t just a place to stay, but a multi-sensory cultural hub built entirely for sharing. Picture a ten-level, immersive space where the goal is simple yet profound: that both guests and locals feel they truly belong to the city. This is Public House Bangkok, a destination that is redefining hospitality by making authentic human connection its most valuable amenity.

Our story begins with Paul and Angie Sachdev, the visionary couple behind Public House. Having found success as distributors of fashion and lifestyle products, they realized that to achieve their full potential, they had to “step outside their comfort zone”. Their passion for design and materials was reignited by a simple desire: to create spaces that would foster real interactions.

“For us, true luxury today is not marble floors or gold taps,” Angie explains. “It’s human connection. It’s sitting around a table, engaging in conversation, instead of being glued to a phone”. By opening Public House in the bustling Sukhumvit district, they have brought this “human element” to their work, redefining what comfort means in the city. Paul’s own inspiration is deeply rooted in his childhood memories of Bangkok’s old town, next to artisan woodworking shops and the peaceful Golden Mount Temple, lending a heartfelt local soul to the modern venture.

Nestled in the center of the dynamic Sukhumvit Soi 31, Public House fuses a modern mid-century design style with modern industrial touches to deliver timeless comfort. From the deluxe rooms to the suites, guests are invited to relax with ultra-comfy beds and 65″ LCD smart TVs.

But the hotel is designed to be a launchpad for more than just a good night’s sleep. The expansive spaces are created for exchange, showcasing a daring blend of local and global art. The adjoining co-working space, FORUM, offers a blend of productivity and leisure, complete with hidden Zoom Rooms and a cozy PODCAST STUDIO for content creators to record and stream. These are the spaces where guests can interact, exchange stories, and perhaps even make a new friend.

The culinary experience at Public House centers on SWD, an all-day dining restaurant that plates feelings, not perfection. The menu is built on global comfort food with local soul, offering familiar flavors with a passport, from Josper-grilled miso salmon to wood-fired four-cheese pizza finished with thyme honey. Expect dishes that taste like a hug, sometimes with a sassy kick. With a low-waste mindset and options for vegan and gluten-free diets, SWD is inclusively built to welcome everyone without pretense.

As night falls, the mid-century styled OPEN BAR comes alive with a glam, art-deco atmosphere. The bar features an extensive selection of Bangkok’s best cocktails and the city’s largest selection of Thai craft beers. Weekends come alive with funky DJs spinning authentic vinyl on twin decks.

For a moment of tranquility, the 9th floor hosts THE MOOON, an 80s-inspired tropical oasis wellness space with a poolside lounge and workout room. Guests can enjoy food and drinks delivered right to their loungers, creating a laid-back experience between dips in the pool.

Ultimately, Public House brings Bangkok’s heart and soul inside its walls, capturing the city’s spirit through regular art and music pop-ups, vinyl markets, and sunrise yoga sessions. It is a sanctuary that encourages guests to step beyond the tourist queues and into the heart of the city where the real magic happens. Experience the essence of timeless connection at Public House and #belongtothecity.
