FLOWER POWER

Not anyone can lay claim to a part of Brangelina’s pad, but Kenneth Cobonpue can (his Voyage bed, no less). The Cebu-born furniture designer uses locally-sourced organic materials like rattan and bamboo as the basis for his modern designs. Bloom is his latest collection of lounge chairs sculpted by hundreds of fine running stitches radiating from the center of the seat creating a subtle textural feel. He muses: “I think Cebu and the surrounding islands inspire much of my designs today. As a boy I was always taken by the exuberant richness of nature that was around me. Years later, I realise I can access all those memories to move my ideas forward.”
