For those well versed in their Greek mythology – Mykonos Blu Grecotel is the Zeus of Gods and harbours the same unparalleled beauty as Aphrodite herself. Legend, myth, and tradition aside, this hotel has a spellbinding quality that will linger eons after. Mykonos Blu Grecotel is located on “the island of winds”, Mykonos. Famed for its gorgeous natural terrain, perpetual summer climate, and it’s charming Mediterranean architecture. Beyond that, the island is as much a prime location for wealthy beat-seekers, as it is a refuge from constant city motion. The Grecotel brand is the largest and most successful luxury hotel group in Greece – with bungalows and villas found in islands such as Crete and Mykonos, as well as mainland regions like Sounio southern of Athens or Kyllini in the legendary Peloponnesus. Each appendage holding its own character and fineness. With 32 luxury hotels to its name and four decades of experience, it is by no default Grecotel stands as Corinthian columns. Yet, with its whitewashed walls, azure touches and ancient-meets-contemporary style; Mykonos Blu lay in its own Olympian limbo.  Uniquely caught between chic luxury and island paradise. The exclusive resort, awakens and pleasures every sense. From its architectural cues, minimalistic decor to their sublime Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails – it seems fitting that the hotel be awarded the Conde Nast Traveler 2018 ‘Readers Choice Awards’ for a second successive year. Although the entire Mykonos Blu complex is a tapestry of ocean inspired colours, elegance and balsamic amenities – their luxury villas champion all else. Specifically, their Royal Blue Mansion Villa was described as “Greece’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa” in the World Travel Awards 2018. Here, Mykonos Blu throw away unnecessary modern flair and celebrate a traditional attitude that has come to characterise the Cyclade league/islands. The Luna Blue Suite (125 x 125 metres) is an open-air abyss, stolen from every passion filled Bond scene, albeit, with no Martin Campbell (Golden Eye/Casino Royale) yelling cut or retake. With the Aegean as it’s muse, the Luna Blue Suit masterfully interweaves the ancient Greece of movies with refined designs. Local minerals and materials are celebrated throughout. Polished concrete in the extravagant bathroom, as well as stone in the isolated shower, fit with elevating phototherapy effects. Other notable features include, the private flower and lawn garden, a sea-facing king size bed and the private indoor heated pool (with jacuzzi). A sanctuary for those seeking to recooperate in lavish style.  Whilst Luna Blue is a haven of relaxation, Euphoria is the suite for soirées. There is ample space in this luxury suite. Comprising of an all white design, wooden floor boards, three balconies, two king size bedrooms, outdoor terrace, and floor to ceiling glass panels opening out to the famed Psarou beach. Beyond their ultra-elegant suites, Mykonos Blu’s restaurants and bars also pay tribute to Greece’s encompassing history and rich environs. Aegean Poets being the most salient. Mykonos Blu delivers a unique experience, that, as noted earlier will indeed linger eons after. You can secure your unforgettable greek experience this summer by booking directly with Mykonos Blu resort here.
